Our Mission

Our mission at Prater-Built is to provide home owners, business owners and builders the highest quality craftsmanship in cabinetry and cabinet doors. Our goal is to maintain premier standards in design concept, building materials, workmanship and installation. Working closely with each client in a personal and friendly atmosphere, we strive diligently to meet their needs and desires while, at the same time, maintaining the highest degree of integrity and professionalism.

Chuck Prater

Seeing a growing need in the local homebuilding industry for cabinet builders,

Chuck established Prater-Built in Cabot, Arkansas, in July of 1995 following a career in the U.S. Air Force. Since that time the company has grown each year of its existence. With a long time passion for woodworking and skills taught to him by master craftsmen of a by-gone era, Chuck combined special customer service training and experiences, hard work and determination to make Prater-Built what it is today.

Office

Since day one, he has continued to provide administrative oversight to the growing company.  Without his skills in handling the tedious and sometimes endless paperwork, Prater-Built would suffer greatly. He methodically ensures that employees' needs and well-being are maintained.  In addition, he professionally deals with vendors and never hesitates to hunt down a special doorknob if needed to meet customer needs.
